5 Tips In Maintaining Your Business Travel Luggage

Durable business travel luggage will remain durable if you know how to take good care of it. Constant maintenance of your luggage will also prevent inconveniences such as rips and tears when you are traveling.

Most businessmen want to travel using sensible luggage with neutral colors like black. They also prefer using those that can secure their stuff.

Keep your bag reliable with the following simple maintenance tips:

1. After traveling, clean your bag. Black-colored vinyl or canvas bags can easily look dirty. They tend to collect dirt and dust even when you are storing them. One solution to that is to use luggage plastic covers. You can purchase this from luggage or bag stores. It is a relatively inexpensive way of protecting your bag from external elements and minimizing damages. It also makes your cleaning work a lot easier.

2. Use a shop vacuum to remove dirt particles and dust. Run it over the interior of the bag first. After cleaning the interior, move to the exterior until you have covered all areas. Also remove dirt and dust particles in the caster or on the handles of the luggage.

3. If you need to remove dirt and white particles on your black luggage right away and you don't have a shop vacuum with you, try using a damp towel. Make sure the towel does not have thick fibers or it will also leave fiber pieces behind. You can also use wet wipes to remove the dust or dirt particles.

You can also try using masking tape. Cut off a piece of tape with about 2 inches of length and use it to pick up the dirt particles. Stick it to the surface of the bag and roughly pull it to remove white particles.

4. Check the casters and find out if dust or hair has collected in it. Remove collected hair as this might prevent the wheels from moving. Make sure you also lubricate the attachment of the casters so it will work smoothly. If lubricating it does not make it move smoothly, you can try replacing the wheels. Choose those with hooded wheels so they will not get damaged easily.

5. Try lubricating the handles using baby oil. Make sure the area is not rusty. Also make sure that the handles can be adjusted without exerting too much pressure on it. If the handles have become rusty, try replacing them with new ones.

Enjoy your travelling!
